The Dagomba community in the Damongo constituency has honored Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo, with the prestigious title of Tumalana (Chief of Works) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the area’s development. The title was conferred during a ceremony held on Saturday, December 30, 2024, at Sumpini in the Busunu traditional area.
Led by their Youth Chairman, the Dagomba community commended Hon. Jinapor’s relentless dedication to improving their lives through various projects in telecommunications, electrification, healthcare, and education. Reflecting on his initial campaign in 2020, they expressed gratitude that he defied skeptics by prioritizing their needs rather than redirecting resources elsewhere, as some had feared.
The community pledged their unwavering support for Abu Jinapor and Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming December 7 elections, anticipating a decisive victory.
In response, Abu Jinapor expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and urged the community to support his re-election bid, promising continued development. Highlighting his past success in winning all Dagomba-majority polling stations during the 2020 elections, he voiced confidence in an even greater triumph this time.
Demonstrating his commitment to education, Hon. Abu Jinapor commissioned a newly constructed Junior High School block in Sumpini—the first of its kind in the community. The facility is expected to transform access to education for several surrounding communities, marking a significant milestone for the area.
Abu Jinapor’s leadership and vision remain evident in his ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure, education, and healthcare in the Damongo constituency, solidifying his reputation as a transformative leader dedicated to progress.
