Responding to the recent Black Volta River overflow in Buipe in the Central Gonja District that displaced thousands and caused widespread property damage, the Vice President of the republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia organized a delegation to provide relief items to the affected individuals at Buipe.
The gesture by H. E. the Vice President is aimed to offer immediate assistance to the affected victims during this challenging time.
The relief package included:
50 bags of rice
20 cartons of cooking oil
50 cartons of bottled water.
This compassionate initiative by Dr. Bawumia was led by Hon. Saeed Muazu Jibreel, the diligent Savannah Regional Minister, with support from Gen. Mohammed Issah, Dr. Sulemana Adams Achanso, Mr. Mohammed Marhey Bamba, and other dedicated individuals, including Chairman Musah of Yapei Kusawgu Constituency, Hon. Sallia Kamara (District Chief Executive for Central Gonja), and local leaders.
In heartfelt response, the flood-affected residents of Buipe expressed their gratitude to Vice President Bawumia for his timely and thoughtful assistance, offering their sincere appreciation and prayers.
