Lawyer Baba Sadique Zankawah has successfully filed his nomination forms to contest the Damongo Constituency NDC Parliamentary primaries amidst a large crowd of NDC branch executives and party supporters.
The enthusiastic supporters accompanied the young Lawyer through out the principal streets of Damongo to the party office to hand over his nomination forms on Wednesday, 23rd march, 2023.
Addressing supporters of the party after submitting his nomination forms, Lawyer Baba Zankawah urged them to be united and work hard towards recapturing the Damongo seat from their opponents come 2024.
He explained that, the massive crowd that came out to accompany him to present his forms is an indication that the NDC is not dead but alive in the Damongo constituency and thus sending signals to their opponents to get ready for the NDC come 2024.
Lawyer Zankawah added that, the narrative in the Damongo Constituency will change should he be given the opportunity to lead the NDC into the 2024 general elections.
According to him, the NDC lost the Damongo constituency seat to their opponents due to disunity among members of the NDC in the constituency and assured that he will work so hard to bring everyone on board for them to fight the common goal that is ahead of them.
He stressed on three basic areas to tackle under the Greater Damongo Agenda ( GREDA ) which comes with two components involving the internal and external components, explaining that, the internal component focuses on how to reorganize, recapture and transform the people.
He noted that, there were a lot of the youth out there who are jobless due to the lack of support but assured that he is coming to create that avenue for the youth to get employed, be self reliant and skills oriented.
Some of the delegates that spoke to this reporter after the filling of the nominations assured of massive victory for Lawyer Baba Sadique Zankawah, adding that, he is the face Damongo constituency NDC has been looking for to rescue them.
They said the change which is eminent was their only hope for a greater NDC in Damongo constituency.
