The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo in the Savannah Region, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated some 798 pieces of branded mathematical sets to this year’s Basic Education Examination Certificate (BECE) candidates in the Damongo constituency.
Donating the items on behalf of the MP, Mr. Bawah Fuseini, the coordinator at the constituency office of the MP said the gesture is meant to help resource and as well motivate the candidates to successfully write their final exams.
He also added that before the donation, the MP also supported the municipal education with an amount of Ghc 50,000 to organise some classes for them in order to prepare them for their final exams.
The Damongo lawmaker is also supporting each of the 798 candidates with an amount of Ghc 20.00 for their upkeep during the exam and will also be served them with snacks on the day of their final papers.
About 798 candidates are taking part in this year’s Basic Education Examination Certificate Examination in the West Gonja municipality.
The distribution of the mathematical sets were handed over to the various head teachers of schools in Damongo on Wednesday, 12th October,2022 and will continue on Thursday 13th October,2022 in the Busunu and Laribanga areas of the Municipality.
