Savannah regional chief Imam, Alhaji Amadu Mushie has praised Allah for his new status as leader of the muslim ummah in the region and prayed for Allah’s blessings and guidance on the region.
He said this in an interview with this reporter on Friday, 16th September, 2022 at the Damongo central mosque in the regional capital after jummah prayers.
The chief imam said, he has accepted and taken up full responsibility of the new leadership position placed on him to ensure that he brings all muslims within the savannah region together irrespective of the various sects of the religion in the region.
He explained that, all the islamic groups are striving towards a common goal, thus using a common tool and mechanism which is the Quran and Sunnah.
Alhaji Amadu Mushie also said, he is working in the interest of the entire muslim community and binding the various sets of the islamic fraternity in the region together towards a common goal.
The regional Chief Imam praised Allah for his new status and prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings on the region and for the President of the republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo – Addo, the Mp for Damongo, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, Chairman Kalamonia, Hon. Saeed Muhazu, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari, Alhaji Amin Mohammed from the upper East region.
Alhaji Amadu Mushie is the first Chief Imam to be coronated since the creation of the Savannah region and will be at the helm of the affairs of the Muslim Ummah in the region.
