A man believed to be in his fifty’s has been found dead in along a Valley at Frafra No. 6, a suburb of Canteen Electoral Area in the west Gonja municipality of the Savannah region.
The body of the man whose identity is yet to be known was discovered by a residents of the area who reported the matter to the Assembly Member.
The Assemblyman for the area, hon. Ananpansah B Abraham, said it was the morning at about 8:50am that residents of Frafra Number 6 in the Canteen Electoral Area reported to him a motionless body suspected to be dead that they discovered along the valley in the bush near the Brother’s House.
As the Assemblyman for the area, he got to the scene together with the elders and youth and confirmed for himself the situation.
Accompanied by the elders, a complaint was launched at the Damongo Police Command.
The police have taken the required steps according to him.
He said the identity of the deceased and cause of death is not immediately known; but they suspect that the heavy downpour could have stampeded and deposited the helpless man at the said location.
He disclosed that the necessary steps have been taken and that, the body has been deposited at the West Gonja hospital mortuary, pending the necessary actions.
