World Vision and partners, Giving In Motion (GIM) marks Ten years of their Partnership in West Gonja.

World vision and their partners, Giving In Motion (GIM) from the United States has marked ten years of their partnership with a one week visit by a team from Giving In Motion (GIM) to West Gonja.

As part of activities, the team held interactions with some sponsored children together with their families and also gifted them several items including; learning materials, clothes, detergents and some food items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, tomato paste, salt, carnation milk among others.

The one week visit by the team from Giving In Motion started with the commissioning of a school project at Asanbore, a farming community in the West Gonja Municipality and made visits to some savings for transformation groups and also held the following; walk with a water need community, visits to some sponsored children at their homes, soccer clinic for girls and climaxed it all with a party with the sponsored children and their families to ten years of their existence in West Gonja.

The Cluster Programs Manager of World vision Ghana, Mr. Felix Apeti in a brief address appreciated the Giving In Motion team for their great support in helping to address all their basic needs and for supporting the beneficiary families and their children in West Gonja.

He also thanked God for bringing them into their lives and prayed that God continues to replenish every little time, space and resources they have spent on the beneficiary families.

World Vision’s Regional Operations Manager, Mr. Francis Gumah on his part described the partners from GIM as their brothers and sisters because of the courage and empathy they have had to be able to impact on the lives of the sponsored beneficiaries in the West Gonja Area programme.

He also expressed gratitude to them for travelling all the way from the US to be in West Gonja just because of what God has sown in their hearts to be able to impact on the lives of the most vulnerable in the West Gonja Area programme.

He further admonished the beneficiaries from the respective communities to see the visit of the partners as a real opportunity to interact with them and noted that, their support for them is not because the have it all, but doing so because of what God is doing in their lives, hence the need to share with them and asked that they continue to pray that God continue to impact their lives.

The acting National Director of World vision, Madam Akua Mensah on behalf of the National Director, staff and board of World vision also appreciated the relentless supports of Giving In Motion in committing to partner with World vision within the ten years period in West Gonja which has brought hope to the beneficiary communities in the west Gonja Area programme.

She also thanked the team for visiting the various communities to impress themselves for the impacts that has created hopes for the beneficiaries and for providing them with safe water which has facilitated for hygiene and Sanitation at the various communities, schools and health centres due to their partnership with World Vision and asked that, they continue to pray for more partnership together following the great relationship the had together.

Mr. Patrick Williams on behalf his team narrated that, it is a blessing to serve and be with the beneficiaries in the last ten years of their partnership with World vision.

He said it is amazing and will continue to be amazing that God continues to tough their hearts to continue to support them as there are a lot of folks back at home who thinks and cares about them and knows about their water situations and problems and therefore working towards bringing change in their lives.

He retraited on their committed to continue  to pray and support them to ensure that they get the best of life.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Adamu Jamana thanked them for all that they have done for them in the past ten years that has impacted on their lives and asked that Fod continue to bless them.
