In a collaborative effort between Ave Hope, Cactus Theatre and the Catholic Diocese of Munster, a transformative ten-day workshop concluded, leaving 15 participants from Ave Hope Kids Foundation in Damongo equipped with newfound skills in speech writing and delivery.
Hailing from Muenster, Germany, the Cactus Theatre team orchestrated an engaging workshop aimed at nurturing the speech-writing and delivery prowess of the Ave Hope Kids.
Throughout the sessions, participants were guided on fundamental techniques, including controlled breathing techniques to enhance confidence before and during public speaking engagements.
The workshop delved into various facets of effective communication, including child psychology, determination, discipline, confidence building, concentration enhancement, as well as topic and sentence development.
These comprehensive lessons proved instrumental in honing the participant’s abilities, bringing out their latent talents.
As the culmination of the workshop, a gathering was convened at Sir Martin’s Memorial School, attracting parents, pupils, teachers and other stakeholders.
With enthusiasm and poise, the participants showcased their own original compositions, including poems and speeches, in a truly remarkable display of their newfound skills.
The workshop not only empowered the young participants with essential communication skills but also served as a platform for personal growth and self-expression, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards self-confidence and empowerment.
