The Honorable Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, Lawyer Abu Jinapor has supported radio for Peace and Development (PAD FM 95.1mhz) with a cash amount of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC10,000.00).
According to the Member of Parliament who doubles as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, the support is to enable the Community Radio effectively and efficiently.
The first Vice-Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Damongo Constituency, Mr. Awudu Mbonwura Jimah presented the cash amount to radio station on 23rd August, 2021.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, Mr. Mbonwura commended PAD FM for it’s excellent services to Damongo Constituency and beyond for the past 10 years.
He noted that, the station has indeed done a lot for the growth and development of the area. He further disclosed that, his support for the station and the media in the Savannah Region will no know bound.
The first Vice-Chairman of the NPP in Damongo Constituency stated that, the Hon MP recognizes the challenges that radio stations go through hence his support to help push it’s operations.
Receiving the cash support, the General Manager of PAD FM, Mr. Zaabelle Matthew thanked lawyer Abu Jinapor for his kind gesture at the time the station needs it most.
Mr. Zaabelle stated that, it’s very difficult running a radio station without the support of the people and commended the MP for his numerous support to the progressive course of the station.
The General Manager further thanked the MP for extending his benevolence to the sister radio stations outside his constituency but within the Savannah Region.
Mr. Zaabelle assured that, the cash support will be used judiciously for the common good of the society but was quick to add that, they shall not hesitate to call on the MP for any assistance to serve their people.
The first Vice-Chairman was in the company of Mr. Inusah Sumani Deputy Constituency Secretary and Mr. Iddrisu Laminu, the NPP Constituency Communication Director.
The General Manager was supported by Mr. Iddrisu Adam Afuli, Head of Programmes for PAD FM.
