President Akuffo-Addo’s nominee for the West Gonja Municipal Assembly, Hon Karim Musah Kusubari has been confirmed as MCE for the assembly by the hon. assembly members.

Kusubari Musah

Musah Kusubari polled 17 yes votes, representing 100%.

The Municipal Assembly has a total of 17 assembly members, 12 elected members and five (5) appointed members.

All assembly members were present at the confirmation ceremony at the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council’s conference hall on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Hon Red Bawa

At Daboya in the North Gonja district, the
President nominee, Eliasu Adam, a.k.a Red Bawa polled all 22 yes votes, representing 100% confirmation.

The North Gonja District Assembly has 22 assembly members, 15 elected members and seven (7) appointed members and all were present at the confirmation ceremony at the district assembly hall.

Both comfirmed Chief Executives Officers promised to work closely with the chiefs, assembly members and the people of the area to help drive home development.
They assured that they will work harder to help president Akuffo-Addo’s agenda of moving Ghana to the next level and also, operate open administration to work with all manner of people irrespective of where they belong.

The Savannah regional minister Saeed Muhazu Jibril Jegede, admonished them to get down to the people and not forget their roots because “one day you will be out of this office and you will go back to the people”.

He said the 100% confirmation by the nominees is a clear indication that there is huge task ahead, it tells a story which is, the very people who gave their support; can make and unmake you if things are not moving right, added.

Hon Muhazu Jegede

The ex MCE for West Gonja municipality urged them to at all times, be in good terms with their respective assembly members to ensure total development.

You need to open the doors to all manner of people devoid of religious, political, tribal affiliations. After serving in your offices, you will still go back to meet the same people hence, you must leave a legacy that people will at all times cherish and remember for your good works.

Hon Jegede urged assembly members to support the comfirmed Chief Executive Officers to hasten development.

The two ceremonies were held peacefully and under Covid-19 protocols and, were attended by people from various sectors of the nation.
