The Savannah Regional Minister, Mr. Muhazu Saeed Jibriel has warned that the Regional security council which is under his chairmanship will not condone any acts of violence from any group of persons or individual after the pronouncement of the Damongo chieftaincy uncertainty by the Judicial committee of the Savannah regional house of chiefs.
The regional Minister sent this message of caution while addressing chiefs and people of the Gonja kingdom at the Jakpa palace on the occasion of the 3rd day funeral rites ( Adua ) of the late king of the Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Bore Essa ( I ) on Friday, 10th February, 2023.
The Savannah Regional house of chiefs judicial committee is said to be giving their verdict on the Damongo chieftaincy case tabled before the committee on the 16th of February, 2023.
He explained that, any group of persons or individual who will have issues contrary to that of the decision of the judicial committee can seek for readdress at the appeals court rather than resorting to any form violence.
He further said, the Regional security council will not condone any acts violence from anyone that will undermine the Peace that is currently enjoyed in the Damomgo Municipality.
Again, the Regional Minister noted and reiterated that the Savannah regional security council ( REGSEC ) and the appropriate agencies are will be on the alert to clamp down trouble makers or persons who will ferment trouble from either of the Damongo chieftaincy factions.
