The Renewed Mandate of Professor Emeritus Kalamonia. SO FAR, SO GOOD!!!

Saturday, May 27, 2023, marked exactly a year when the revered kingmakers (delegates) of the Great NPP in the Savannah Region renewed the mandate of the hardworking and charismatic Savannah Regional Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana (Professor Emiretus Kalamonia), and his colleagues Regional Executives.

Prof. Kalamonia

Indeed, the level of trust and confidence the delegates had in his leadership was clearly manifested in his resounding victory in that election. He renewal was a justification of his hardwork and comitment to the course of his party during his first term in office.

Professor Emeritus Chairman on his own behalf and that of his colleagues regional executives used the occasion of their one year anniversary to express their profound gratitutde to all Savannah Regional Governmemnt Appointees, the Regional Council of Elders and Patrons, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Savannah Regional TESCON members, the vibrant Youth of the Great NPP and every party supporter who in diverse ways supported and championed the cause of the party and his leadership through the past year.

It is worth noting that the journey so far is commendable. There has been cordial relationship between the Regional Chairman and his Executive Committee since their renewered mandate. Working together as a group has never been easy.

However, given the desire by members of the Executive Committee to serve and get results for the party, sacrifices are being made to ensure that the Committee achieves its overall objective of ensuring that the party grows and become the leading party in the Savannah Region and therefore says asankusun to them for this feat.

The Professor Emeritus Chairman has reassured the rank and file of the party of his unwavering commitment to the course of the party in the region and beyond. His strive to ensure that the party wins majority parliamentary seats in the region come 2024 remains tops on his agenda.

In the spirit of good governance, I wish to use this opportunity to catalogue some of the achievements of the Professor Emiretus during the course of the first year of his renewed mandate.

Social Engagements

In his resolve to make the NPP visible and attractive to electorates in the Region, the Emiretus Professor Chairman has made it an agenda to attend social events such as, weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals, graduation of artisans, enskinment and outdooring of our revered traditional leaders amongst others in the Region. His constant participation in these activities, despite his busy schedules, has afforded him the opportunity to appreciate the plight of the people and finding solutions to their problems.

Support for Education

In the education sector, the Professor Emiretus Chairman has helped dozens of the people in the Savannah Region by helping them gain admissions into various second cycle and tertiary institutions, including Nursing and Teacher Training institutions, universities, etc. He has also supported a lot of students in these insititutions to pay their fees. He has secured GETFund scholarship for several students across the Region, including masters, degree and diploma students.

Employment

In the course of the last year alone, the Professor Emeritus Chairman secured unprecedented employment slots for a number of graduates and non graduates in the Savannah Region. Special mention can be made of several slots he scured for teaching and non-teaching staff, including degree and diploma certificate holders. Regarding recruitment into the security services, he secured slots for quite a number of youth from the region. These included the Military Service, Fire Service, Prison Service, Immigration Service and Police Service slots.
From the foregoing, therefore, it could be said without any equivocation that the leadership of the Professor Emeritus Chairman has lots of promises for the Great NPP in the Savannah Region.

It is, therefore, imperative that he is given the necessary support to continue his good work so that the Great NPP can take its rightful place in the region.

God bless the Great NPP!
God bless the Savannah Region!
God bless Homeland Ghana!
