Suspected thieves break into a provision shop at Damongo

(Damongo) – Suspected thieves have made their way into provision shop at Damongo near the Santol filling station in the West Gonja municipality of the savannah Region on Thursday 7th October,2021, dawn at about 3:00am.

Madam Fadilatu Yahaya (Apisolo) owner of the shop narrating her ordeal to this source indicated that the incident came to her attention via phone call through her sister who supports her in the running of the shop who went to open the shop to start business for the day’s work.
She said she is shocked at the incident and surprised at how the thieves got into the shop by cutting through the roofing sheets of the shop from top.
She added that the thieves made away with all their sales for Wednesday, packets of cigarettes, asorted drinks and some provisions.

Madam Fadilatu Yahaya appealed to the general public to assist her in finding the culprits.
A scissors used in the operations was found in the shop.

Theft cases are on the rise in the Municipality and stakeholders must sit up to help arrest the menace.
