As part of his routine working visits across the Savannah Region, the Hon. Regional Minister, Salisu Be-Awuribe esq, on 22/05/2025 inspected key infrastructure projects in the North East Gonja District.
The Minister visited the construction site of an emergency steel bridge over River Jollo on the Dagbogshie–Buhija feeder road and later inspected progress on the Dalogtili–Buhija feeder road.
He appealed to contractors to expedite work on the projects, emphasizing their importance to the predominantly farming communities in the area. “Early completion will ease the transportation burden on our farmers and enhance access to markets,” he stated.
Hon. Bi-Awuribi reaffirmed government’s commitment to equitable development, stating, “President Mahama’s administration is focused on leaving a lasting legacy. I will personally monitor all projects in the region to ensure value for money and timely delivery. I am ready to break every barrier and cross every bridge to ensure the Savannah Region gets its fair share of the national cake.”
He further called on development partners to prioritize the Savannah Region in their programs, citing the area’s developmental gap.

The Minister wrapped up his visit with a courtesy call on the Chief of Buhija, where he reiterated government’s plan to connect all critical roads in the region to enhance the movement of people and goods.
