Mr. Mustapha Nafiu, an aid to the salaga South Member of parliament in charge of Special Projects at the office of the MP on Thursday, 1st September, 2022 cut sod for the commencement of work on a 6-unit classroom block at Bagabaga, a community in the East Gonja Municipality of the savannah Region.
Addressing the chiefs and people of the beneficiary community and it’s environs on behalf of the MP, Mr. Mustapha Nafiu explained that, the construction of the school block is fulfillment of a promise made by the Hon. MP to the people of Bagabaga, Kopolombo and Techipe.
He said, the school when completed, will have classrooms, a storeroom, office and Toilet facilities to serve the people of Bagabaga and it’s adjoining communities including Kopolombo and Techipe to help impact on the future of the children’s education in the area and also reduce the long distances children in the area travel to access education.
Mr. Nafiu, who is expected will provide direct oversight and supervision of the project
further explained that, the MP wished to have been around for the sod cutting but was carried away with equally important assignments but will visit the project site to inspect ongoing works.
Some food items were also presented on behalf Hon Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah towards the upkeep of the building artisans.
Mr. Abudu Salam, a resident of the area on behalf of the chief expressed gratitude to the Hon. MP for the project and promised to give out their support to ensure it’s successful completion.
He was accompanied with a team of building artisans to start the construction of the 6-unit classroom block.
