President Akuffo-Addo’s renominated MCE for East Gonja, Hon. Mohammed Tamimu has been rejected by Assembly members for the east Gonja Municipal Assembly.
A total of 34 members were present to cast their votes where nine(9) members representing 26.5% voted yes in favor of the nominee with 25 members ?73.5%) voting ‘No’ against the Nominee.
On 4th October, 2021, the assembly failed to affirm Mr. Tamimu Mohammed after the election was cancelled by the Presiding Member following a disagreement amongst assembly members.
