More than 780 residents of Canteen, a suburb of Damongo, have received free medications following a comprehensive health screening.
This initiative was organized by the Naada Jinapor Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Damongo’s residents.
The event took place at the Canteen L/A Primary School on Saturday, 15th June, 2024 where beneficiaries underwent screenings, diagnoses, and received free medications.
Mrs. Naada Jinapor, founder and CEO of the Naada Jinapor Foundation, expressed her commitment to continuing health initiatives in Damongo. “Our promise is to touch lives, and we will continue to do our best for the people of Damongo regarding their health,” she stated.
Mrs. Jinapor emphasized that this health screening is part of an ongoing effort. “The screening held in the Damongo-Canteen area is not the last. We will continue this exercise because we want the best for the society of Damongo,” she affirmed.
She highlighted that these screenings serve as an opportunity for doctors to diagnose and address various health issues, providing necessary treatments and medications on the spot. In cases where individuals are diagnosed with more complex conditions, the foundation ensures that adequate funds and resources are allocated to treat their illnesses at bigger facilities.
When asked about her motivation for supporting these initiatives, Mrs. Jinapor praised her husband, lawyer Abu Jinapor, describing him as “a man of action, a man of his promises, and a man of the people.” She expressed hope that the residents would recognize his efforts and re-elect him as their Member of Parliament.
Mrs. Jinapor reiterated her husband’s dedication to Damongo, vowing that he would continue to work towards making Damongo a prime destination for its residents and also urged the people to support her husband’s re-election bid, emphasizing his commitment to serving and uplifting the people of Damongo.
