The NPP leadership in the Savannah region
led by Chairman Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana (Prof. Kalamonia) on Saturday, 13th August, 2022, commissioned a new temporal office complex for the party at Damongo, to serve as a Secretariat for the party.
The regional office would have Iddi Osman as the regional administrator. Iddi Osman is from Laribanga in the Damongo Constituency and contested for the position of Nasara Coordinator but lost to Nsowura.
This was disclosed by the NPP Savannah regional secretary, Issah Mohammed on PADFM morning show (Kareyenchea Morning Show) at Damongo, hosted by Nuhu Zulqa.
Issah Mohammed said a secretary would soon be appointed to assist Iddi Osman to manage the office as the regional executives move round the region from one Constituency to another to help Constituency executives explain government policies to the masses.
Issah said he would also be visible at the office from time to time to serve the people.
The New temporal office edifice was built by the current regional executive with funding support from the Member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor and the Managing Director of the Ghana water company Ltd, Dr. Ing. Clifford Braimah.
At a short ceremony to commission the office complex on August 13, 2022, the regional secretary Issah Mohammed explained that the regional office complex forms part of their beautiful contribution as regional executive body to run activities of the party in the region. This will assist in the day to day running of the party.
He disclosed that, putting up such a facility was one of his major campaign promises as a regional secretary hopeful prior to their regional elections, which became a bigger issue for the entire regional executive body after the elections. The promise has been delivered about three (3) months after elections.
Ecstatic Issah Mohammed added that the purpose of the new office is for the administration and to also facilitate the activities of the party in the region whilst planning towards acquiring a permanent secretariat in future.
The Regional NPP Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana said the construction of the temporal regional secretariat is to help the NPP in the region to coordinate affairs of the party so as to serve the youth, women groups, and the general public to help the NPP win more souls and votes for the next general elections.
The commissioning of the regional secretariat was attended by regional and constituency executives of the NPP in the savannah region and some party faithfuls.
