The Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural resources, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor on Monday, 26th December, 2022 successfully organized a health walk with Security services in the Damongo Municipality.
The health walk started from the 155 Armoured regiment Military barracks through to some principal streets of Damongo and end at the Damongo Astro turf pitch with refreshments.
Speaking at the end of the walk, the Damongo MP who organized the walk revealed that the fitness walk embarked on has brought to him new energy, enthusiasm and a clean bill of health.
According to him, the activity was meant to inculcate in participants and members of the security services the need to live a balanced lifestyle of fitness.
While encouraging the security personnels to continue to be united, the Damongo MP said he has seen a great sense of solidarity, comradeship and unity among the various members of the respective security services in the savannah region and thus encouraging them to strengthened it.
On behalf of the President of the republic, his government and the entire citizenry of the savannah region, Hon. Abu Jinapor commended the commanders of the various security services and their gallant members for their continuous efforts to maintaining the peace and security of the people of the region.
On the request of the security personnels, the MP has promised to put up an ultra modern gym center in Damongo for them to enhance their training activities on regular basis.
The health walk was organized by the Damongo MP for the various security services in Damongo as part of this year’s Christmas festivities.
