Abu Jinapor is supporting farmers in the Damongo constituency by providing five tractors to plough the farmlands of farmers in his constituency.
The support will be very beneficial for farmers, as it will help farmers to save time and efforts compared to using traditional manual methods and the challenges of financial incapabilities of farmers to employ the services of private tractor operators to plough for them.
This can ultimately lead to increased profits for the farmers and help to improve the agricultural sector in the Damongo constituency.
Abu Jinapor’s constant support to farmers in his constituency over years demonstrates his commitment to supporting local agriculture and the livelihoods of farmers in the area.
In all, five tractors were deployed and allocated to all four zone’s in the constituency which include; Damongo, Larabanga, Busunu and the Sor Zones with one tractor assigned to cater for the Non-Gonja speaking tribes in the area.
To ensure that the services of the five tractors meets the demands of farmers in the constituency, the tractors are expected to plough two acres of land for each farmer with the farmer bearing full responsibility of the fuel cost of the tractor while the MP bears the cost of ploughing.
The tractors has since commenced work at their allocated zones with farmers busily booking for their services.
