The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo Constituency and minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor said he has so far helped paid the school fees of over 200 students within five (5) months as MP for the constituency.
The ex-deputy Chief of Staff stated this when he hosted the leadership of Muslims in Damongo to Iftar at his residence for a Quranic recital against the strong and bad winds that have rendered 100s of people homeless and destroying properties in his constituency.
The Quranic recitation, which was led by Damongo Chief Imam, Alhaji Amadu Mushe, prayed for Allah’s favor, prevention and protection against all forms of strong winds and rains that could destroy properties and render people homeless.
Imam Amadu said recitation was to seek for Allah’s mercy and that the Quranic recitation within the month of Ramadan is the best to ask of Allah’s favor.
Addressing the Muslims, Samuel Jinapor explained that praying to seek favor from Allah is a must because we need protection from God all the time. Allah will bless us with better rains that bring joy and prosperity to the constituents, he added.
Samuel Abu Jinapor appealed to the Muslim leadership to pray for peace and unity for more development.
He disclosed that he has so far help paid school fees of over 200 students within five (5) months, even though he has not received any MP Common Fund. He added that construction of the Damongo water project, Busunu SHS, construction of boreholes, upgrading the Damongo town sports oval into a modern edifice will take off soon.
