The Assemblyman of Canteen, Mr. Abraham Bartholomew Ananpansah has sponsored a friendly female soccer match involving two teams in the West Gonja municipality.
The event, funded entirely by the Assemblyman aims to promote women’s empowerment through sports and related activities.
Mr. Ananpansah expressed his passion for the initiative and committed to supporting sports growth in the Canteen Electoral Area during his term.
He also revealed plans for various interventions to advance female sports in the area and beyond.
Despite his team’s (Daughters of Brigade United) narrow defeat to the Yagbon Ladies SC, he considered the event a massive success and vowed to return stronger in the future.
The final score saw Yagbon Ladies SC defeating Daughters of Brigade United from Canteen with a score of 3-0.
