On Sunday, 12th December, 2021, Campus Entrepreneurship Association of Pot Ghana (CEAPOT) held a passing out ceremony for persons who received two (2) weeks of intensive training on acquiring entrepreneurship skills on how to produce detergents, pastries, beads and satellite installation biodivecity among other.
The training took place at Damongo and it’s surrounding communities such as Nabori and Larbanga.
The Director for CEAPOT Ghana, Prince Osei Tutu in a short speech explained that this CEAPOT was formed to help reduce or eradicate the unemployment challenges in Ghana. He said he has noticed that many graduates come out of school but have nothing doing, that is the reason why Campus makes it a point to train out of college students. This will not only equip them with knowledge on their profession but they can also come out with certificate on different entrepreneurship skills to help them start up something of their own.
He added that Campus program has students from different colleges and universities who are currently being trained on different entrepreneurship skills and when they are on vacation they take time to visit other regions as well to share their little knowledge and skills.
The director also mentioned that the training was free but the Ghc65 that was charged from each person was for their transportation as well as feeding, and told the participants to accept that success is only achieved through hard work and that others may use their time on making themselves look good but as youth, you need to have vision in other to plan towards your success.
In a year’s time if the participants still need help on any training they will be glad to come and help out but if after a year they are not called upon and they come by themselves, they will charge each person for the training fees.
The chairman for CEAPOT Damongo office thanked the owner and director of CEAPOT Ghana on behalf of all the trainees and said the training has really helped them a lot especially himself because when his satellite gets faulty scratches, he becomes depressed because by the time he gets someone to do it, he might have missed very important programs.
However, after the training he used his own satellite for experiment and got much more than the number of stations he initially hadn’t and now he can proudly say that his a satellite installer.
The Campus team inspected the various items produced by each team, where beautiful beads bags, sandals, key holders among others were produced and the pastries were used to make cake, rock bans, coated groundnuts, cheeps and others. Detergents were also made thatincluded liquid soap, shower gel, pomade and parazon.
Satellite dish was mounted and connected to Television, which produced beautiful and very clear vision by trainees.
