Kamaldeen Sulemana has opened up on his first appearance in an AFCON tournament and apologized to Ghanaians for poor output.
According to the Stade Rennes winger, his first appearance at the continent’s biggest football Mundial did not go as planned, as the Black Stars put up an embarrassing performance.
In a post, Kamaldeen opined that he has picked up great lessons from his debut AFCON and will come back stronger.
He thanked Ghanaians for their support and further asked for forgiveness following the Black Stars’ failure to end the nation’s 40-year AFCON drought.
His forgiveness comes after the Black Stars’ poor show at AFCON 2021 where the team exited the tournament in the group stage for the first time in 16 years.
In a group that contained Morocco, Gabon and Comoros, the Black Stars failed to win a single game, finishing bottom with only a point.
