The MP for Damongo Constituency, Hon. Abu Jinapor has extended his benevolent support to three senior high schools in the Damongo constituency with the donation of some assorted food items including Rice, maize, beans and gari.
The beneficiary schools are, the Damongo Senior high school, Ndewura Jakpa senior high school and the St. Anne’s girls senior high school.
In presenting the items to the Authorities of the three schools on Saturday, 15th October, 2022 on behalf of the MP, the constituency Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Kadiri Abdul Rahman explained that, the gesture by the member of parliament for the three schools was as a result of some food shortage in the schools which was reported to the MP by the headmistress of the Damongo Senior high school during the occasion of the MPs teachers awards ceremony.
He added that, the support from the member of parliament is to help assist the schools in the feeding of the students in order to help make the students feel at home so as to create a conducive learning atmosphere for effective teaching and learning.
Mr. Kadiri said, the MP is committed to matters of education hence the need for the support and admonished the students to take advantage of the food provided by MP and learn with all seriousness so as to become like Abu Jinapor and his likes.
In receiving the food items, the Assistant headmasters in charge of Administration for both Damongo senior high and Ndewura Jakpa senior high schools and the headmistress of the St. Anne’s girls senior high school on behalfs of their schools expressed gratitude to the member of parliament for the gesture and thanked him for his constant support to them and promised that the items will be used for their intended purposes.
They also asked for God’s blessings on the Lawmaker.
Damongo Senior High school and Ndewura Jakpa senior high school received 10 Bags of Maize , 20 bags of rice, 10 bags of gari and 5 bags of beans respectively with St. Anne’s Girls Senior High school receiving 5 bags of maize, 10 bags of rice, 5 bags of gari and 2 bags of beans.
The food Items donated totals 50 bags of rice, 25 bags of maize, 12 bags of beans 25 bags of gari.
The donation was done on behalf of the MP by some Constituency Executives of the NPP led by the Constituency secretary, the coordinator at the constituency office of the MP and the constituency Organizer and his deputy.
