The Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has provided $10,000( Ghc 163,914.00 ) to St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital in Damongo to help repair their non-functional X-ray machine.
The donation, delivered on behalf of lawyer Abu Jinapor by West Gonja Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari, was presented alongside NPP constituency secretary and Treasurer.
The presentation took place on Thursday, 31st October, 2024 following a recent engagement where hospital management had requested support for the repair.
Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari, while presenting the donation, highlighted the vital role the X-ray unit plays in providing quality healthcare for the community.
He noted Mr. Jinapor’s commitment to health initiatives in the area, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the machine’s functionality.
Dr. Nelson Agboadoh, the Medical Superintendent at St. Anne’s hospital, expressed gratitude for the donation, acknowledging the MP’s timely support.
He assured that the funds would be used to restore the X-ray machine, which has been out of service for close to six months, thereby enhancing healthcare delivery for the residents.
This gesture by Mr. Jinapor is seen as a significant step toward addressing urgent healthcare needs in Damongo and reflects his commitment to the welfare of his constituency.
