Buipewura Jinapor II, leader of the Buipe traditional council has donated 40 bags of rice and 10 bags of maize to support the enskinment of the Yagbonwura elect, Yagbonwura Amunebafe Borenyi I.
Chief Danyanpewura Jingbele Rex led a team to the Jakpa Palace to present the food items on Sunday, March 19, 2023, on behalf of Buipewura Jinapor II.
Presenting the 40 bags of rice and 10 bags of maize to the enskinment committee, Danyapewura Jingbele explained that Buipewura Jinapor II is donating the food items to support Tuluwewura and the committee to welcome visitors. He added that although the Buipewura doesn’t perform the funeral rites of Yagbonwura per traditions but he supports as a chief and son of Gonja. The food items are expected to help the upkeep of visitors during the enskinment and investiture of the new Yagbonwura.
Receiving the items Ing. Dr Nasser, a leading member of the enskinment committee said the committee is very grateful to Buipewura Jinapor II for the support and also happy to receive this support from him.
Tuluwewura and the whole of Gonja state are grateful for the support.
We pray for long life, prosperity, wisdom and better health conditions for Buipewura and assure him that the food would be put to good use, he added.
The enskinment and investiture of incoming Yagbonwura will be done at Nyange and Damongo on Monday, 20th March and Tuesday ,21st March, 2023 respectively.
