Declaration of Intent to Contest for NDC Constituency Communication Officer,
Damongo Constituency 2026 Internal Elections
I bring you warm revolutionary greetings and wish to formally inform you of my decision to offer myself to contest for the position of NDC Constituency Communication Officer for the Damongo Constituency in the 2026 internal elections.
This decision is borne out of deep commitment to our great party, the National Democratic Congress, and a firm belief that effective communication remains a decisive tool for party growth, unity, and electoral victory.
Over the years, I have had the privilege to serve the party diligently at various levels within the constituency, gaining practical experience and a clear understanding of our communication needs.
My service to the party includes working as a Polling Station Agent, where I defended the party’s interest at the grassroots level; serving as Director of the Constituency Communication Team, coordinating messaging and response; contributing as a Member of the Regional Communication Team, where I gained broader exposure and strategic insight; and serving as the First Zongo Caucus Coordinator for the Damongo Constituency, strengthening inclusion, outreach, and engagement within our Zongo communities.
During the 2022 internal elections, I contested for this same position but was unsuccessful against the incumbent. That experience, however, did not weaken my resolve. Rather, it strengthened my commitment, sharpened my perspective, and provided valuable lessons.
Today, I am offering myself once again, with renewed energy, fresh strategies, and a stronger determination to serve the party better and help build a formidable, disciplined, and proactive communication team for our constituency.
As a political communicator, I bring qualities essential for modern party communication: clarity of message, strategic thinking, loyalty to party ideals, responsiveness, media and digital communication skills, grassroots engagement, crisis and counter-propaganda management, teamwork, discipline, integrity, and the ability to mobilize and inspire both party faithful and floating voters. I believe communication must not only defend the party but also project hope, unity, and confidence in our vision for Ghana.
My vision is to help position the Damongo Constituency as a communication model within the region one that is proactive rather than reactive, inclusive rather than selective, and strategic rather than fragmented.
Together, we can strengthen internal cohesion, amplify our achievements, effectively counter misinformation, and market our candidates convincingly toward victory.
I humbly seek your prayers, advice, encouragement, and support as we journey together toward building a stronger NDC in Damongo and beyond. Let us remain united, focused, and committed to the ideals that bind us as comrades.
Forward ever, backward never.
Victory 2026 is possible together.
Thank you, and may the spirit of the NDC continue to guide us all.
Baba Hamidu Maclean
(Hopeful, NDC Constituency Communication Officer
Damongo Constituency)
