The Bole District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has received over 4,000 mono desks from the Member of Parliament for the Bole Bamboi Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Yussif Sulemana, to enhance teaching and learning in basic schools across the district.

The furniture was officially handed over during a brief ceremony held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the premises of the Bole District Assembly.

Presenting the items, Hon. Yussif Sulemana explained that the intervention forms part of a broader government policy aimed at improving education delivery nationwide and creating a conducive learning environment for schoolchildren. He noted that the furniture distribution is intended to reduce the persistent furniture deficit in schools within the district.
“As part of government policy, I am delighted to present over 4,000 pieces of furniture to support effective teaching and learning in the Bole District,” the MP stated.

“Kurabaso Junior High School, which serves as a WAEC examination centre, will receive additional furniture to ensure the smooth conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).”

He further appealed to schools that are yet to benefit from the initiative to exercise patience, assuring them that all schools will be covered in due course.

Describing himself as a trained teacher, Hon. Sulemana reaffirmed his strong personal commitment to education, emphasizing that the sector remains central to national development. He noted that the teaching profession is both noble and rewarding, with benefits that transcend this life.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Directorate, the Bole District Director of Education, Mr. Richard Sepaga Achinani, expressed profound gratitude to the MP and the government for the timely intervention. He noted that the support has come at a crucial time for the district.

“The Bole District GES has been neglected for a very long time, so this intervention has come at the right time. We are very grateful,”

Mr. Achinani further appealed for additional logistical support, including a pickup vehicle and motorbikes, to enhance the mobility and effectiveness of education officers in the district.

He concluded by expressing appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana and Hon. Alhaji Yussif Sulemana for their continuous support towards the development of education in the Bole District.
