Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, Hon Member of Parliament for Salaga South joined the former MP, Mr Salifu Adam Braimah to commission and hand over a Community- Based Health Planning Services (CHIPS) Compound at Buma in the Kulaw electoral area to the East Gonja Municipal Health Directorate and the chiefs and people of Buma.
The former MP, Mr Salifh Adam Braimah in his speech intimated that he responded to a request from the community for a CHIPS compound when he was MP and so used his share of the NHIA funds to construct the CHIPS compound for the people.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera addressing the community members in a brief ceremony indicated that, the facility will form part of efforts at improving access to quality health. She commended the former MP for responding to the people’s request and pledged to continue from where the former MP had left off. She reiterated her commitment in working to bring development to the people of the Salaga-South constituency.
The East Gonja Municipal Director of Health Service, Mr Zakaria Abdul Kasim who received the keys to the facility thanked the former MP for the facility and requested the current MP to support in furnishing and stocking the facility in order to make the facility fully operational.
The Bumawura, Mr Emmanuel Ewuntomah Mahama expressed joy at the facility and expressed the gratitude of the people for the facility. He encouraged the MP and the former MP to continue to work in harmony.
The Member of Parliament was accompanied by the Savannah Regional Youth Organiser, Alhaji Inusah Mahama, Mr Haruna Aziz, Deputy Regional Treasurer. Alhaji Awudu Abbah, Acting Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Adam Kiwuribi, Madam Zuwera Fuseini, Mr Kwabena Andrew and Mr Buhari Dukluibi all of the office of the MP.
