Football lovers in Northern Ghana are in for an exciting weekend as the 2025/2026 Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Division Two League kicks off across the Northern, North East, and Savannah Regions.
This season’s kickoff follows the official approval by the NRFA Congress on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Tamale Sports Stadium. The decision paved the way for 24 action-packed fixtures spread across various venues as clubs battle for early points in Match Week One.
In the Savannah Region, all eyes will be on thrilling encounters such as Wasipey FC vs Yagbon Stars at the Tarbiat E/A Primary Park, and Bole Super Stars FC vs Sawla Kanyiti FC at the Bole Town Field. Mole Nationals FC will also begin their campaign at the Damongo Astro Turf against Daboya Young Stars, while Buipe Scorpions FC take on Boresa FC at the Jinapor Astro Turf.
The Northern Region promises equally competitive clashes. Fans in Tamale can expect fireworks when Tamale Soccer Angels FC lock horns with Tamale Super Wonders FC at the NOBISCO Field, and when FC Frankfurt City Academy face off against Steadfast FC at Kaladan Park. The matches, all scheduled for 3:00 p.m., will test teams’ readiness and tactical depth early in the campaign.
Over in the North East Region, fixtures like Nalerigu United FC vs Zambachi United FC at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex and Dipanticha FC vs West Mamprusi United are expected to draw large local crowds.
Match coordinators have been appointed by the NRFA to ensure smooth organization and adherence to regulations throughout the weekend.
As the 2025/2026 season unfolds, fans and stakeholders will be watching keenly to see which clubs emerge as early title contenders and which young talents rise to prominence.
