In a gesture of compassion and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, the Faith in Action Foundation has donated assorted provisions to inmates at the Damongo Prison Camp in the Savannah Region.
The donation, presented on March 11, 2026, forms part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable groups in society. The initiative aligns with the organization’s mission to bring hope and relief to disadvantaged individuals by mobilizing resources and providing both financial and material assistance to those in need.

Speaking during the presentation, Madam Mumuni Rahinatu Denkari, a leading member of the foundation, explained that the organization was established to assist the poor, needy, orphans, and widows within communities.
She stated that through the contributions of its members, the group was able to procure the items for the inmates as a way of sharing the blessings of Ramadan with them.
According to her, the gesture reflects the foundation’s commitment to reaching out to vulnerable groups and ensuring they feel remembered and supported during significant occasions such as the Islamic fasting period.

The inmates expressed their appreciation to the foundation for the kind gesture but also appealed to the general public to extend further support to the prison facility. They particularly called for assistance in the form of food items and medicines to help improve healthcare services within the camp.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Officer in Charge, CSP Amatus Siekure, ASP Abigail Doudu conveyed the prison administration’s gratitude to the Faith in Action Foundation for selecting the Damongo Prison Camp as beneficiaries.
She noted that the support would go a long way in putting smiles on the faces of the inmates and improving their overall well-being.
ASP Doudu further expressed hope that the donation would mark the beginning of a lasting partnership between the foundation and the prison facility rather than a one-time intervention.
