The Zabaga Foundation has once again extended its benevolent hands to the inmates of Sawla and Damongo orphanage homes. The donation is part of this year`s Zabaga Foundation Dinner and Tour event, that brought together all under priviledged children residing at the orphanages in the Savannah Region.
The Zabaga Foundation has over the years been noticed to be carrying out such benevolent gestures to all manner of persons, who are especially vulnerable and are in need of support from the society to enable them overcome their plight.
The poor, needy and the destitutes in the society are the sole beneficiaries of the Foundation`s packages.
The Zabaga Foundation on this occasion decided to extend their lens to the vunerables in the orphanage homes. The Zabaga crew first made a stop at the Damongo Orphanage Home otherwise known as Redemption Academy, and thrilled the inmates with some good Ghanaian music coupled with lunch.
Both the crew and the children reclined together at the same table and dined. The Damongo Ophanage Home is founded by Pastor Abraham shortly after he completed the university. The Pastor began with just one child at the inception stage and now has under his outfit over 52 inmates.
Pastor Abraham after receiving the donations from the C.E.O of the Zabaga Foundation, expressed his profound appreciations and garatitude to the benefactors and admonished them to keep doing more of such gestures. The items donated include some toiletories, clothes and pair of sandals.
Pastor Abraham appealed to the public to emulate the steps of the Zabaga foundation, by way of donating both material and spiritual support to such vulnerables in the society, as it goes a long way to extricate the needy in the society from their enomous plight in order to have a healthy society worthy of living.
So far about 7 inmates of the institutions have passed out of the university and are doing very well in their variuos field of endeavors.
The Zabaga crew subsequently proceeded to Laribanga, where the visited the Larabanga mosque and the mistick stone and offered prayers.
The climax of the tour began in Sawla as the C.E.O of BMB( Broad Minded Brethren) received a rousing welcome from the youth and fans of the now solo Artist.
A dinner party was organised at the Sawla View restaurant for the inmates of the Sawla Orphanage Home. An opportunity was created at the event that allowed the children the leverage to make new friends from members of the crew and the invited guest.
Some notable personalities at the event were Chris Jomah, a popular veteran Gonja Raggae Artist and his crew, Daanga and Dj Morelife who happen to be an Artist Manager.
Daanga who came to support his then music group member Zaabaga of the BMB fame, thrilled the crowed with their back to back tracks and got the crowd roaring.
Zaabaga ceased the opportunity to explain the reasons behind the project. He said the project was born out of the love he habours for children hence a way to afford the inmates an opportunity to love and to be loved.
He charged the inmates never to give up in life and never to allow their current status to pin them down.
According to the Boss of BMB music, the fact that they are in such conditions should not allow themselves to be dismayed or feel any form of inferiority complex.
He said he is looking to see a day where most of them will be in places of high positions in the society, that he said he will make him happy.
The sawla ophanage home currently has about 50 inmates who are all schooling. Their major source of funding comes from the United States of America.
Jantuah Samuel is the caretaker of the institution and received the items on behalf of the inmates.
He thanked the C.E.O for coming to their aid especially within difficult times like this, when the whole world is battling with the global COVID-19 pandemic.
He however tasked the public not to relent on supporting such institutions. The event was however strictly by invitation. The items as well includes some toiletories, clothes and pair of sandals.
