In a compassionate response to a distressing incident, the Member of Parliament for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has stepped forward to support the victims a tragic fire accident in Damongo.
The incident, which left two siblings critically injured, prompted swift action from the lawmaker after it was highlighted in a news report by PADFM on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Upon learning of the plight of the injured siblings receiving treatment at St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital in Damongo, Hon. Abu Jinapor wasted no time in extending financial assistance through the Assemblyman for Zongo-Langbonto electoral area, Hon. Nuhu Kantamah Abdul Ganiyu.
The MP facilitated the full payment of transportation costs for the siblings referral from St. Anne’s Hospital to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where they could receive specialized medical attention.
Following the intervention, the two children were safely transported to the burns unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital for further treatment and management.
The timely support provided by Abu Jinapor has not only alleviated the financial burden on the affected family but has also ensured that the injured siblings receive the necessary medical care to aid in their recovery.
The family of the victims had previously appealed for assistance from the public to cover the escalating medical expenses and transportation costs,
