The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has supported the King and overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) with some food items.

The items included 20 bags of Rice and 20 bags of sugar, presented on his behalf by the Savannah regional minister, Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibriel on Friday, 7th April, 2023 with the company of the Damongo constituency chairman for the New patriotic party ( NPP), Alhaji Adam Braimah.

In presenting the food items, the Hon. Regional Minister indicated that the gesture from the vice president was meant to support the King towards this year’s Ramadan.

The spokesperson for the King, Benkrowura Saaka Seidu Bakari who received the items on behalf of the King, applauded the Vice President for the support and asked Hon. Muhazu to extend the King’s fecilitations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Meanwhile, the Vice President in the last three weeks made a donation of Ghc 200,000 towards the coronation and outdooring ceremony of the new Gonja king.
