The president of the republic of Ghana, H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has procured three helicopters for the Ghana Police service to aid them in their efforts to combat crime in the country.
The Ghana Police Service on Monday, 6th March, 2023 assembled an amazing show with the three newly acquired helicopters at the 66th Independence Day celebration in Ho in the Volta Region.
Heeding the mushrooming of lawlessness and acts of violence in several parts of the country, the Akuffo Addo/Buwumia-led government is with the conviction that, the acquired helicopters for the Ghana Police Service to help them fight crime in the country.
The President promised to buy the choppers for the Police in his 2018 State of the Nation Address.
Since the New Patriotic Party(NPP) came to office in January 2017, a total of 568 vehicles including 15 operational buses have been presented by the government to the Ghana Police Service, an effort unprecedented in the history of this country.
