The member of parliament for the Daboya/Mankarigu constituency, Hon Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini has once again extended a funding support to tertiary students in his constituency to help pay their fees and other expenses.
The donation which is the second phase of his support covering eighty ( 80 ) student was made on Tuesday, 16th January, 2023 at the North Gonja District capital, Daboya.
The Honourable MP in addressing the students admonished them to see themselves as agents of change emphasizing that the future of the constituency was largely dependent on them and as such they should take their studies seriously.
He also assured the constituents of his commitment to use his network to secure more scholarships for all the students in the tertiary institutions within the Constituency in the coming months.
The disbursement of the funds to the 80 beneficiaries were made through the District Education Directorate under the leadership of the district director, Mr Clifford Ayirzoya.
The District Director of Education on his part entreated the beneficiaries to take their studies very seriously and also used opportunity to implore them to come back with the knowledge acquired to serve in developing the Constituency.
In his concluding remarks, the Director was full of appreciation to the Hon. MP for his continuous support especially in the area of Education in the district.
The first batch of the MP’s covered 40 students in the constituency last year.
