MP for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor on Monday, 26th December, 2022 organised the second edition of his end of year get together for Non – Gonja speaking tribes in the Damongo constituency of the savannah region.
The event brought together several ethnic groups in the Damongo constituency including Dagaaba’s, Frafra’s, Bimoba’s, Sissala’s, Dagomba’s, Asante’s, Waali’s among others.
Addressing the tribes at the party, Mr. Jinapor expressed gratitude to all of them for for accepting to be part of the second edition of his annual end of year get together party.
He appreciated the efforts of the planning committees for the event led by Mr. Anthony Anyoka for making sure that the event was successful.
He urged members of the Non – Gonja tribes to be united as a people and as a constituency by seeing themselves as one people looking out for the development of the constituency.
He also noted that a time has come for all tribes to be treated fairly in all aspects of human development in the constituency irrespective of where he/she may be coming from, hence the need for him as MP for the area to bring everyone on board in all activities of the constituency.
The Damongo lawmaker who pledged his commitment to continue to work for them for their betterment and for the development of the constituency also revealed that the year 2023 will be a year of Agriculture where more farm inputs will be supplied to farmers in the constituency to support their agricultural activities.
He also used the occasion to asked for God’s guidance and protection for them and also wished them well in all their endeavours in the New Year.
The occasion was meant to bring the Non – Gonja tribes together with the aim of fostering unity among them and to put smiles on their faces by making them experience the joy of Christmas during the festive season.
The program was attended by the Savannah and Northern regional ministers, MCE for West Gonja, the savannah regional NPP chairman together with some constituency and regional executives of the NPP.
