The vice president of the republic of Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia has commissioned a market complex for the people of Salaga in the East Gonja municipality of the Savannah region.
Before commissioning the market complex which is accompanied with a meat abattoir on Sunday, 9th October, 2022 at Salaga, the Vice president explained that, his visit to the savannah region was for him to follow up to inspect ongoing government projects in the region and indicated that, he had inspected ongoing works on the construction of a district hospital at Kpalbe under agenda 111 and the 100kms Bunjai – Yapei virgin road which is about 68% complete.
He explained that, the commissioning of the salaga market complex is an evidence of the good works the New patriotic party and the Akufo – Addo led government for the people of salaga and the savannah region.
Dr. Bawumia noted that, it is evidentially clear for everyone to see that after creating the savannah region, the region has sinced seen massive developmental projects springing up across every constituency of the region interns infrastructure than any other government since 1992 including the salaga water project, the salaga Astro – turf pitch and the construction of some salaga roads among others.
He urged the people of salaga and the savannah region to continue to support the New patriotic party for it to continue to bring to the newly-created Savannah Region the much needed accelerated and unprecedented development that it deserves.
The vice president who begun his two days tour of the savannah region in the Salaga area first paid a courtesy call at the palace of the late kpanseiguwura following his demise some few months ago.
He later in inspected ongoing agenda 111 district hospital project at kpalbe in the North – East Gonja District and subsequently paid a courtesy call on the paramount Chief for the Kpembe traditional area at his palace.
