The commencement of every flourish and profitable business centre shows good signs at stages in the morning: just a day after the official publication of the MMDCE nominees, the chosen one for the East-Gonja Municipal Assembly, Mohammed Tamimu (Hon) and the Constituency Executive Committee saw the need to convene a maiden meeting to kick start party business earnestly by ironing out their differences so as pave way for unity of purpose. By and large, it was a fruitful meeting that created a happy home for the duo. The MCE nominee, (Hon,) Tamimu used the platform to officially informed the Executive Committee of his nomination by the President of the Republic and also thanked the house for the work executed before, during and after the last general elections. Mr. Tamimu stated with a recapitulation that the agenda of the NPP should be given the topmost priority in the minds of all. The MCE nominee proclaimed that he does not affiliate himself with any faction again, henceforth, but the only faction associated himself with is the New Patriotic Party. Mr Tamimu said he would refuse and condemn any Microcosm within a Macrocosm that will disunite and create obstacles for the NPP to advance rapidly in Salaga South. The MCE nominee added that there is the need for a new chapter to be opened in the party so that every body that is ready to work would be brought on board. He made himself clear to the house without any ambiguity that he has no personal interest in a particular candidate in the impending in-house constituency elections. Mr Tamimu pledged to run an opened administration which will enable everyone to have access to him without any hindrance.
The Executive on the other hand pledged their support to the MCE nominee in the quest of the party to reclaim a good reputation to the NPP government and to the enclave of Salaga South. The Executives pointed out to the MCE nominee to see the Party first and work sedulously and assiduously with the leadership so that together we shall all glorify the benefit of our teamwork project. The Constituency Chairman Alhaji Ussif Alabi climaxed the conference with a closing remark which served as a bridge between the leadership and the MCE. The nominee, Mohammed Tamimu (Hon) showed his appreciation to the leadership for accepting his nomination in good faith. He finally pledged the house to lift to expectation by demonstrating his own words. The other executives that spoke on behalf of the leadership are: the 2nd Vice Chairman, the Research Officer, the Organizer, the Deputy Secretary and the Deputy Organizer. The rest of the Executives in the attendance are: the Women Organizer, the Deputy Women Organizer, the Youth Organizer and the Communications Officer.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Constituency Executive Committee led by Chairman Ussif Alabi earlier in the day called on the nominee to congratulate and to wish him well in his second mandate. They exchanged pleasantries and took photographs together.
