The Yapei – Kusawgu Constituency Executive Committee of the New Patriotic party led by Chairman Issahaku Musah Mankpang on Tuesday, 20th September, 2022, inspected ongoing rural electrication projects at Kadigbonto, Bilamposo, Jagbaragapei, Baboiposo and Sakumpei Junction all in the Kadigbonto Electoral Area of the Central Gonja District.
The Team inspected progress of work in the communities and also interacted with the Chiefs and people.
Chairman Musah on behalf of the executive committee, thanked the contractor for the work done so far and urged him to continue with the good works.
He also thanked the people of Kadigbonto Electoral Area for the support and cooperation given to the contractor and called for more collaboration for the successful completion of the project.
The Constituency Secretary, Ibrahim Mahafuzu Sappor on his part explained how the NPP Government is committed to having 100% electricity penetration in the District, adding that, the the five communities Will be connected to the National Grid before the end of the year, whiles steps are being taken to ensure that other Contractors working at communities in the Wamborg, Larigbani, Sankpala, Tidropei and Jabalpei Electoral Areas all in the Kusawgu Traditional Area return to site.
Mahafuzu Sappor also debunked assertion that the project was being funded by an NGO and called for support for the DCE and the NPP Government as they strive to better the lifes of the people in the District and the Country at large.
The contractor disclosed to the team that, work at the various communities are almost due for completion and intimated that, work will be completed on schedule.
The team ended the day by attending social events as Sankpala, Wamborg, Dakolyili and Datoyili.
