The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially notified all Regional, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors about the commencement of this year’s Inter-Regional and Intra-District repostings for its staff members.

In a memo addressed to all Regional Directors of Education on Wednesday, 30th April, 2024, GES outlined the procedures and necessary documentation required for staff seeking assurance.

The process, according to the memo, remains unchanged from previous years.

Assurance letters, crucial for the reposting process, will be issued starting from Monday, 20th May, 2024, and will continue until Wednesday, 19 June, 2024.

The memo further indicated that, the processing of Inter-Regional reposting applications to the GES Headquarters will begin on Monday, 14 July, 2024. These repostings according to the memo, will come into effect at the beginning of the next academic year, scheduled for September, 2024.

Regional Directors are urged to compile and forward lists of all staff who have been granted assurance in their respective regions to the GES Headquarters.

It is emphasized that completed applications must reach the Headquarters no later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2024. Any documents received after this deadline will not be accepted.

Additionally, the memo highlights that a staff member seeking reposting can only be released after approval and issuance of a reposting letter by the Director-General.

Angela Frimpong Nkansah (Ms.), the G. Director of HRMD or Director-General, signed off the memo, expressing reliance on the usual cooperation of all involved parties.

The Ghana Education Service continues its commitment to facilitating efficient staff repostings to enhance educational services across regions and districts.
